A Little History



I received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida International University.  For years prior to that, I was in business administration/management for attorneys and doctors.  I had an associate membership with the American Bar Association as well as serving as treasurer for the Financial Planning Association.  Afer receiving my degree, I volunteered with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program through the IRS for a time and then worked in several different types of businesses both in Florida and Georgia.  My experience in different industries has given me an understanding of the inner workings of business in general.  

SMALL BUSINESS ESSENTIAL SERVICES came into existence in 1994 as a side business but became a singular focus in 2012.

The core values of the company are the cornerstones of how we work. They are among the heart and soul of who I am. Those core values include:

Innovation

To provide the best services possible requires that I stay aware of innovation in technology and business practice while remaining cognizant that not everyone is a "techie".  Some clients may prefer to go "old school" as they say.  I can adjust my methods to assure that the client is comfortable and understands what is being done.  I do, however, draw the line at using handwritten ledgers.  

Excellence

Our clients deserve excellent service and I make every effort to make that happen.  As stated in In Search of Excellence, by Peters and Waterman, "Customers reign supreme." I understand that, as they say in the book, "The excellent companies require and demand extraordinary performance from the average man."  I make it my credo to be that average woman in my business practice.
